The other upstairs bathroom was horrible. I am so glad it was gutted. Other than painting the entire upstairs stark, ceiling white, this house was untouched. Wyoming is behind the rest of the county so their 1981 style was like the our 1970s.
BEFORE & AFTER
First, this bathroom is the size of a closet. The placement of the plumbing limited what we could do. This meant no shower door (the toilet is too close), so I couldn’t avoid using a shower curtain.

New sheetrock, flooring, everything. The walls were painted Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace which doesn’t look stark white because is a south facing room.
Again, I found an inexpensive light fixture so that I could buy quality plumbing fixtures. Brushed nickel is the least expensive finish so that’s what I went with.

I found an inexpensive curtain on Amazon in a creamy color and I hung it higher so that the ceiling would look higher and the room wouldn’t look so cramped.

It was cheaper and easier to install an acrylic shower system. We used the same flooring as the other bathroom. The color of the flooring doesn’t bother me as much in here.

The space and my budget limited the vanity choices. I tried to find something in a traditional stain and style.

My parents installed both this vanity and the one in the other bathroom. They made them work.

Just like the other bathroom, there are things I would have liked to have done differently, but all in all, this is so much better and it turned out really nice thanks to Levi, Anthony, and my parents.
