Tea

It’s been a long time since I did a tea review. I have gotten several samples from The Republic of Tea and from my friend at Kitchens| Design and Utilize. The Organic Strawberry Basil Iced Green Tea from The Republic of Tea smells amazing and has a very interesting taste. Their description: This organic, farmers’ market-inspired iced green tea combines sun-ripened strawberries and fresh basil. Basil provides an herbal accent to subtly sweet berries for a sophisticated summer sip. You smell the strawberry and really taste the basil. This tea was light and refreshing. Of course I added four Splenda packets so it was sweet strawberry basil iced tea. Even my husband liked it. I rate this tea (on a scale from 1-10, 10 being the best) a “7.” It is a nice flavored green tea. It’s organic and it makes me think of summer.         The Pomberry Black Hi-Caf Tea is from The Republic of Tea and the sample came from Kitchens| Design and Utilize. Their description: Fine black tea with the juicy flavors of pomegranate and blueberry. …

I prefer it cold but it isn’t bad hot. It has a nice flavor but I still think the best flavor to add to green tea is spearmint. See my favorite tea combination here. This Republic Chai Black Tea was interesting. The Republic of Tea calls it Traveler’s Tea. “Rich imperial spices are combined with Northern Indian tea leaves to create a hearty, flavorful cup. Deliciously full-bodied when prepared traditionally; simmered with water, milk & honey.” Initially, I wasn’t sure about it. The smell at first was strange, not bad just …
