Opinions on Teas

I was at Barnes and Noble the other night and found all of their holiday items on sale. I thought I had done a review of the Holiday Tea from Harney & Sons Fine Teas that Kitchens, Design and Utilize introduced me to years ago and frantically looked at my blog trying to find out what I had rated it because it was on sale. Thankfully, after a few text messages, I was reminded of this tea’s deliciousness and grabbed a tin.

Holiday

This is such a great tasting tea that of course I sweeten but I am sure for those who do not require their beverages ridiculously sweet, will also like it without sweetener. This is a black tea spiced with orange peel, almond, clove, and cinnamon. The packaging is so pretty and the tea is individually wrapped in sachets (30 per tin). On a scale from 1 to 10, I give this tea a 9. It smells and tastes really good.

Peppermint Bark

I am not joking when I say this tea is amazing. I love The Republic of Tea’s Holiday Tea but this stuff is even better. This is the Peppermint Bark which is a cool winter herb tea. It smells amazing. I used two Splendas. It is caffeine-free which means I can drink it at night as dessert. I have never given a 10 to a tea, at least I don’t think I have, but I’m giving this tea a 10.

Caramel Chai

I am thinking this is the brand of Caramel Chai tea that was given to me by Kitchens, Design and Utilize. This tea smelled really good, had good flavor, and was smooth. It had a spice and sweet taste. I rate this tea as a 7.

Mango

This is another tea Kitchens, Design and Utilize gave me. This is The Republic of Tea’s Mango Ceylon which they describe as a Metabolic Frolic Tea. The website state that this tea is light, sweet & intoxicatingly fragrant. Mango & sunflower blossoms are blended with superior Black tea leaves to produce an uplifting cup. Wonderful served hot or over ice. I drank it hot with two Splendas. The flavor is fine but I wasn’t amazed and that could be because I drank it a day after I had the Peppermint Bark tea which changed my life. I give this tea 6 out of 10.

Rituals

This particular brand of Orange Pekoe and Pekoe Cut Black Tea was not that impressive. It tasted much better than it smelled. However, I found an Orange Pekoe teas which had good reviews. I give this Rituals brand a 4 out of 10.
