The Republic of Tea describes their Sweet Tea Tropical Green Tea as a “lively mélange of exotic fruit and fine green tea complemented with naturally sweet herbs.” I bought this tea last summer because I was trying to find something similar to Panera’s iced green tea. I actually did a review before and gave it a 7 out of 10. I got a sample in the mail a few months ago and tried it again. This tea isn’t sweet enough for me alone. I have to add a little sweetener. I prefer it cold but it isn’t bad hot. It has a nice flavor but I still think the best flavor to add to green tea is spearmint. See my favorite tea combination here.
This Republic Chai Black Tea was interesting. The Republic of Tea calls it Traveler’s Tea. “Rich imperial spices are combined with Northern Indian tea leaves to create a hearty, flavorful cup. Deliciously full-bodied when prepared traditionally; simmered with water, milk & honey.” Initially, I wasn’t sure about it. The smell at first was strange, not bad just different. But then I tried it. Well, first I added sweetener of course and then I tried it. It was really good. It had a really nice flavor and I drank it hot because I was cold and I really enjoyed it. I would give it an 8 out of 10.
