One of our first projects was the kitchen. This wallpaper was horrible but taking it down was even worse. It had been on these walls for over 30 years. We borrowed a wallpaper remover/steamer from my parents and got to work. Our friends John and Carolyn (an interior designer) gave us some helpful tips like remove the painter’s tape before the walls dry. The entire project took about 3 days but it was well worth it!
Tip: Make sure you have a shop-vac handy. It was great when cleaning up the dust from sanding the drywall and any stray pieces of old wallpaper. We used Frog Tape to cover the trim and baseboards. It works great.
